O estudo em questão incide sobre a problemática da cooperação entre as forças de segurança e os serviços de segurança privada. Deste modo, o objetivo central da investigação passa por compreender de que forma se realiza a cooperação entre as forças de segurança e os serviços de segurança privada num espetáculo desportivo. Assim, incidimos o nosso foco num jogo de futebol, mais concretamente no Estoril-Moreirense, da Primeira Liga Portuguesa. Para atingir este mesmo objetivo, foi necessário analisar a forma como as duas entidades trabalham em conjunto e verificar de que modo estas garantem as condições de segurança num espetáculo desportivo. Relativamente à metodologia, o presente trabalho baseia-se no método hipotético-dedutivo. Importa referir ainda que para além da recolha documental realizada e da observação de um jogo de futebol, procedeu-se à inquirição de entrevistados com relevância para o caso. Desta forma e através investigação desenvolvida, verificámos que, em Portugal, o papel dos serviços de segurança privada está associado a tarefas operacionais, enquanto o papel das forças de segurança pública está ligada a atividade de caráter preventivo e dissuasor.

The present study focused on the cooperation between the security forces and private security companies. Thus, the research mainly intends to understand the cooperation process between security forces and private security companies in sporting events. We therefore focused on a football match, specifically between Estoril-Moreirense, both from the First Portuguese League. In order to achieve this main goal, we had to observe how the two organizations work together and how they ensure safety and security in a sporting event. With regard to the applied methodology, this study follows a hypothetic-deductive approach. It should also be also noted that, in addition to the documentary collection and watch a football game, we interviewed people who were considered relevant for this case. In this way and through research carried come across that in Portugal, the role of private security services, is associated with operational tasks, while the role of public security forces is on the activity of preventive and deterrent character. This research showed that, in Portugal, private security companies perform operational tasks, while, on the opposite, the public security forces activity is mainly preventive and dissuasive.
