A pluralidade de prescrições para um único doente, o constante aumento de novos e
complexos medicamentos, a disparidade da informação disponível e a complexidade dos
tratamentos farmacológicos, ao serem causadoras de elevado grau de morbilidade e
mortalidade relacionadas com fármacos, são a principal razão do desenvolvimento universal
dos Cuidados Farmacêuticos.
Este tipo de cuidados diferenciados traduzem uma interacção directa entre o farmacêutico e
o utente que, sempre em colaboração com o médico, tem o objectivo de obter uma
farmacoterapia racional, com resultados definidos e mensuráveis, voltados para a melhoria da
qualidade de vida.
Nesta dissertação pretendeu-se avaliar os níveis de satisfação dos utentes com os serviços
prestados nas farmácias comunitárias, a percepção dos benefícios que estes cuidados podem
originar e a sua valorização, nomeadamente através da disponibilidade em pagar para a eles
ter acesso.
Os resultados obtidos sugerem que este projecto de intervenção farmacêutica pode
constituir uma mais valia na melhoria da saúde da população que a ele tem acesso, para além
de aumentar os níveis de satisfação com a apreciação global, com a gestão terapêutica e com o
esclarecimento agradável dos serviços prestados na farmácia.
Por outro lado, a maioria dos inquiridos atribui importância a este tipo de cuidados, apesar
de nem todos necessitarem dele, por falta de complexidade farmacoterapêutica.
Os inquiridos que atribuem um valor positivo aos benefícios da participação em Cuidados
Farmacêuticos estão mais predispostos a pagar por eles, sendo que a maioria dos utentes
dispostos a pagar mostram-se intencionados em disponibilizar até 5 €. The plurality of prescriptions for a single person, the constant increase of new and
complex remedy, the disparity of the available information and the complexity of treatments,
when being responsible for the high degree of related morbidity and mortality with drugs, are
the main reason for the development of Pharmaceutical Care.
This type of differentiated care indicates an interaction between pharmacists and
patients, that always in close cooperation with the doctor, has the goal of setting a rational
pharmacotherapy with definite and measurable results, which improves the quality of life.
In this study, we evaluate the satisfaction levels of patients with the services provided
in communitarian pharmacies, as well as the perception of the benefits that this care can
originate and its valuation, namely through the willingness to pay for pharmaceutical care.
The results obtained suggest that this pharmaceutical intervention project can be an
added-value to the improvement of the health of the population who has access to it, besides
the fact that the global satisfaction levels, the therapeutical management and the pleasant
clarification of the services given in the pharmacy increased.
On the other hand, the majority of the inquired subjects consider pharmaceutical care
important, although not all of them need this level of care, due to lack of pharmacotherapy
complexity.
The respondents who positively value the benefits of participating in pharmaceutical
care are more willing to pay for them. Furthermore, the majority of these patients are willing
