A Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho (QVT) é um tema cada vez mais atual numa perspetiva de Recursos Humanos centrada no capital humano e tem conquistado uma importância acrescida no contexto organizacional. O objetivo principal deste estudo, visa avaliar, testar e compreender a relação entre as Dimensões da QVT (Características do Trabalho/Emprego e formação e desenvolvimento de competências pessoais e profissionais; Carreira: promoção, reconhecimento e componente económica; Relações sociais e justiça no trabalho; Equilíbrio Trabalho/Família; Trabalho e lazer e Condições de trabalho) e o Compromisso Organizacional Afetivo. Para a análise deste estudo, foram utilizadas duas escalas: o Inventário sobre a QVT, desenvolvido por Rafael e Lima e os itens da escala de Compromisso Organizacional Afetivo e foram aplicados, através de um questionário online, a uma amostra de 161 adultos empregados, em empresa multinacional da Industria Alimentar. Verificou-se uma relação positiva e significativa entre a QVT e o Compromisso Organizacional Afetivo. ------ ABSTRACT -----The Quality of Work Life is an actual subject on a Human Resources perspective and centralized in the human capital and has been conquering an increase importance in the organizational context. The main objective of this study, aims to evaluate, test and understand the relationship between the Dimensions of Work Life (Characteristics of Labor/Employment and training and development of personal and professional skills; Career: promotion, recognition and economic aspects; Social relations and justice in the workplace; Work/Family balance; Work and Leisure and Working Conditions) and Affective Commitment. For the analysis of this study, there were used two scales: the Survey on the Quality of Work Life, developed by Rafael and Lima and the items in the scale of Affective Organizational Commitment and they were applied, through an online questionnaire in a sample of 161 employed adults, of a multinational Food and Beverage Industry. It has been found a positive correlation between Quality of Work Life and Affective Organizational Commitment.
