ABSTRACT: Resilience is the process or the ability to overcome and respond flexibly to challenges or threatening situations that may arise during the life of individuals. However, not all individuals are able to overcome such situations in a positive way. The lack of consistent studies in this area in our country and involving adolescents from associations such as the Scout Movement, and the small number of programs to promote resilience justifies the importance of this research. Thus, this research had as main objective to analyze the levels of resilience in adolescents with and without siblings and verify the existence of significant correlations between levels of resilience in adolescents with and without siblings whose father and mother have siblings or not. To this end we resorted to the use of Escala Avaliação Global da Resiliência (EAGR) and Escala de Avaliação do Eu Resiliente (EAER). The results indicated that no significant differences in the levels of resilience in adolescents scouts with and without siblings, however there were significant correlations between levels of resilience in adolescents with and without siblings whose father and mother have siblings or not.
