O presente trabalho tem por objectivo verificar se a personalidade parental afecta as relações estabelecidas no interior da família e de que forma influência as comportamentos da criança com Perturbação de Hiperactividade e Deficit de Atenção (PHDA). Neste âmbito, pediu-se a colaboração de 10 famílias, sendo que participaram no estudo 10 mães, 6 pais e 10 crianças. Foi aplicado aos pais a prova NEO-PI-R, que permite a avaliação da personalidade parental de acordo com o modelo dos cinco factores, assim como a escala de Conners para pais - versão reduzida, que avalia o grau de hiperactividade apresentado pela criança. Por sua vez às crianças pediu-se a colaboração na realização das provas CAT e desenho da família, de forma a permitir verificar como se estabelecem as relações familiares do seu ponto vista. De uma forma geral, os resultados foram na linha do esperado, e mostram que quanto mais emoções negativas forem vivenciadas pelos pais, mais problemática a relação entre estes e a criança. Contrariamente as emoções positivas permitem uma melhoria nas relações, mesmo que pequena. No que respeita ao grau de PHDA infantil, este é tanto mais elevado, quanto mais emoções negativas os pais experienciam. Contudo, é importante não esquecer que as relações familiares e os graus de PHDA são influenciados por inúmeros outros factores.
ABSTRACT: The present work has for objective to verify if the parental personality affects the relations established in the interior of the family and if it influence the behaviors of the child with ADHD. With this scope it was asked the, contribution of 10 families, of which had participated 10 mothers, 6 parents and 10 children. The test NEO-PI-R was applied to the parents, allowing the evaluation of the parental personality through the model of the five factors, as well as the scale of Conners for parents - reduced version, that evaluates the degree of ADHD presented by the child. The children contribution was asked in the accomplishment of tests CAT and drawing of the family, those test allowed the evaluation of perception of the family relations establish. The results are similar to those waited, and show that the more negative emotions will be lived deeply by the parents, more problematic the relation between them and the child. Contrarily the positive emotions allow an improvement in the relations. Also, the degree of ADHD of the children, it’s more raised, the more negative emotions the parents live. However, it is important not to forget that the familiar relations and the degrees of ADHD are influenced by innumerable other factors.
