A Teoria da Vinculação e a Psicanálise são dois grandes campos teóricos e científicos da compreensão do ser humano bem estabelecidos, que se foram desenvolvendo de forma independente. O tempo tem vindo a torná-las cada vez mais próximas, existindo um crescente número de investigações que as procura inter-relacionar. A presente investigação procura relacioná-las empiricamente, focando-se nas Teorias Psicanalíticas de Relação de Objecto. Aplicou-se a uma mesma amostra de 56 crianças a Attachment Story Completion Task, a fim de avaliar os Modelos Internos Dinâmicos (MID) de Vinculação e a escala Social Cognition and Object Relations Scale Relations, na sua dimensão da Tonalidade Afectiva do Paradigma das Relações, a fim de avaliar a tonalidade afectiva do mundo objectal interno. Utilizou-se ainda a Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence para controlar os efeitos da capacidade linguística na produção das narrativas. Os resultados encontraram uma correlação positiva e significativa entre os MID e a tonalidade afectiva, à excepção da história do monstro no quarto, demonstrando que estes conceitos se encontram relacionadas entre si, possuindo, no entanto, algumas idiossincrasias próprias. Encontrou-se ainda uma correlação positiva entro o QI Verbal e a história da Separação, tanto em termos de MID, como de Tonalidade Afectiva. Foi possível estabelecer algumas das semelhanças e divergências entre estes conceitos e perceber como as representações de objecto internalizadas são mais permeáveis a variáveis demográficas, estando relacionadas com algumas delas, segundo temáticas diferenciadas.
ABSTRACT: Attachment Theory and Psychoanalysis are two well established theoretical and scientific fields of the understanding of the human being, which have developed independently. Time has put them nearer existing an increasing number of investigations searching to interrelate them. The present investigation tries to relate them empirically, focusing in the Psychoanalytic Object Relations Theories. It was applied to the same sample of 56 children the Attachment Story Completion Task to evaluate the internal working models (IWM) of Attachment and the Social Cognition and Object Relations Scale, in its dimension of the Affect-Tone of Relationship Paradigm, to assess the emotional tone of the internal object world. It was also used the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence to monitor the effects of language ability in the production of narratives. The results found a positive and significant correlation between the IWM and the affect-tone, with the exception of the history of the monster in the room, demonstrating that these concepts are interrelated, with, however, some own idiosyncrasies. There was also a positive correlation among the Verbal IQ and the history of segregation both in terms of MID, as of affect-Tone. It was possible to establish some of the similarities and differences between these concepts and understand how the internalized object representations are more permeable to demographic variables, being related to some of them, according to different themes.
