Description
Bruxism is defined as a parafunctional habit which consists of grinding and / or clenching involuntarily, considering a risk factor for orofacial pain and muscle fatigue. With this work, through the results obtained by the approach of five patients, we realized that the treatment with muscle relaxation rigid oclusal splint full coverage applied to the upper jaw leads to relief of pain symptoms and helps muscles to regain the tone of contraction and physiological rest, lessening clenching.
