All over the little that, since the mid 90s, has been written on the subject of advanced art made in Portugal during the 80’s, the label homeostética pops up, in association with the artists Fernando Brito, Ivo, Manuel Vieira, Pedro Portugal, Pedro Proença and Xana and their individual work. Still the precise meaning of the term remains unexplained, and, curiously or not so, serious references to the six as group are quite simply not to be found.
