The present dissertation has, as its object of study, the problematic of belonging to a place. This place can be understood as a geographical, cultural, mental or metaphorical one. The intention will be to understand the implications of a place «in-between», a result of specific social-cultural situations related with the ideas of transition, movement and passage. The movements of people in the geographical global map, individuals on dislocation from their cultural and ethnic origins living in the abstract location «in-between», create this space. Concepts such as deterritorialisation, nomadism, existential migration and exile are involved. Belonging to a territory is a question that contains within itself, on the other hand, the idea about the right of existing in a place without belonging to it. The positional opposing of certain concepts as: place vs non-place; Earth (planet) vs territory; property vs occupation, as well as in habitat vs out of habitat, constructs the network of conjunctions approached throughout the dissertation. In the situations «in-between», a so called «survival strategy» is something that comes into consideration. The analysis and de-codification of these strategies and of the surrounding matters form the central focus of the study. The artistic project functions as an individual reformulation, on proposing and presenting alternative ways of processing through the construction of a series of «strategies of subsistence», in the mentioned residing between places
