A presente dissertação pretende esclarecer, em primeiro lugar, a forma como, historicamente, a relação entre Filosofia e Literatura tem sido perspectivada, a fim de ser possível contextualizar e distinguir a proposta ontológica da filosofia da literatura de Andrew Benjamin, cujo objectivo central consiste em compreender o modo de ser da literatura ou do texto literário, tendo em conta a relação entre género e interpretação. Proposta que implica a renovação da filosofia, da literatura ou da filosofia da literatura. Renovação que, fundamentando-se na ontologia heraclitiana, se explica pela recusa do domínio da ontologia da tradição metafísica (Platão e Aristóteles), ou por uma recusa da tradição metafísica distinta da de Heidegger. No fim, e no âmbito dos Estudos Culturais, a renovada filosofia da literatura concretizar-se-á como Crítica Ontológica do Texto Literário, pensando o modo como o texto é literário ou se identifica como literário a partir dos contos de Mia Couto (Moçambique) e de Leonardo Padura (Cuba).
This dissertation intends to clarify firstly how the relationship between Philosophy and Literature has been viewed historically, in order to contextualize and distinguish the ontological proposal of Andrew Benjamin for philosophy of literature, whose main objective is to understand the mode of being of literature or literary text, taking into account the relationship between genre and interpretation. A proposal implying the renewal of philosophy, literature or philosophy of literature. A renewal based on the Heraclitean ontology, that can be explained as a refusal of the dominant ontology of metaphysical tradition (Plato and Aristotle), or as a refusal of metaphysical tradition distinct from Heidegger's. In the end, and in the sphere of Cultural Studies, the renewed philosophy of literature will be present as Ontological Critique of the Literary Text, thinking the way in which the text is literary or identifies itself as literary through the short stories of Mia Couto (Mozambique) and Leonardo Padura (Cuba).
