Description
One goal of Geometry is to incorporate the spatial image of an object in to a twodimensional representation. However, according to some students, this is the main difficulty for the whole process. To transpose objects and reality and the two dimensions representing them, is a difficult barrier to overcome. There is a noticeable lack in teaching methods that encourage students in spatial reasoning ability; i.e. the ability to transfer knowledge to the role. This difficulty is common to Drawing and Descriptive Geometry, as both are forms of coded abstraction. Accordingly, findings and observations in the context of the classroom, in practice, which aim to gather enough information, are a positive help to teaching and can help students improve their learning in the discipline of Descriptive Geometry thus seeking therefore the future success of students. The main idea is to confirm if these educational resources can be a tool to support the student, not as a calculator that delivers results, but as a compass to indicate directions to the formation of knowledge, supporting the student in visualizing and understanding of objects in space. About the structure, this report explores two aspects: first - "Investigations", they apply in a practical way the methods of teaching/learning in the discipline of Descriptive Geometry; second, is described the activities and events, developed in Teaching Practice Supervised in the discipline of Arts Workshop.
