THE INTERPRETATION OF REALITY AS COLOUR VARIATION DUE TO LIGHT IN SPACE AND TIME
This research aims to interpret physical reality as colour variation due to light, within a context of space and time. To achieve this goal, light was considered as the transforming agent of the inherent colours of the objects, into apparent colours, that are ephemeral properties, yet unique visibility generators of the universe. The development of the research led to the invention of a psychometric apparatus for measuring apparent colours, allowing us to state their importance in the physical image construction of reality. The conceptual framework of this study includes many areas of knowledge such as Psychology, Physics, Philosophy, Neurology, Artificial Intelligence, and particularly Painting, that makes the interpretation of reality through colour its laboratory. The aesthetic concept resulting from the dynamics of these different areas of knowledge, allied to the experimental use of the invented apparatus, were used to redefine the characterizing factors of physical reality: light, colour, texture, form, volume and shadow, space and time. The interpretation of physical reality as colour variation due to light, in space and in time, in conjunction with its psychometric measurement, is an aesthetic concept that has direct application in research, education and practice of the Arts.
