The success of a sustainable green space relates to the success of three distinct phases: design, construction and installation, and maintenance. Proper maintenance of green space provides the environmental value, aesthetic and social contributing to the successful completion of the fourth dimension of a proposed green space, time. The aim of this paper is to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining green spaces, and contribute to this phase is taken into account in the initial phase of the project. Through the Development of a Prototype of contract maintenance charges of Green Spaces and its application to two case studies, it is possible to demonstrate how important it is structured qualitative and quantitative cultural operations, human resources and materials necessary for proper maintenance. With this methodology you can create and study different scenarios of proposals that tend to minimize the costs of maintenance without affecting the aesthetic and functional component of the project.
