Objective: This assignment analyzes the association between physical activity (PA) and bone mineral in three regions of the proximal femur, according to the pelvis morphology of the children’s from 10 to 12 years old of both sexes. Methods: Pelvic diameters analysis was made by using geometric morphometry in 119 participants. The variables of the body composition and bone mineral of the three regions of the proximal femur were measured by densitometry of x-ray dual energy. Physical activity was assessed by accelerometry. Results: Girls had higher pelvic diameter internally, however the inter-acetabular was lower than boys. These dimensions of the pelvis in girls seem to be associated with lower values of bone mineral at the femoral neck and trochanter and the inter-higher values of bone area above the trochanter. Conclusion: Physical activity may eventually prevent lower values of mineral and bone area of the trochanter in girls with lower diameter inter-acetabular bottom.
