Tese de Mestrado em Cor na Arquitectura
Este projecto de investigação pretendeu estudar os princípios que têm orientado a aplicação da cor nas construções de habitação social de Lisboa. O papel da cor na criação de um melhor ambiente urbano é importante nestas áreas com problemas sociais. A cor afecta o bem-estar das pessoas, tem efeitos físicos e psicológicos, e pode influenciar o comportamento e o equilíbrio emocional. Deve ser uma influência positiva nos utentes, contribuindo para a sua integração social, aceitação das novas habitações, assim como para o respeito pelas áreas exteriores. Neste contexto, a aplicação da cor deve ser conscienciosa, com critério e o projecto cromático deve ser orientado por princípios fundamentados no conhecimento. A investigação dividiu-se em duas fases: A identificação das áreas e conjuntos de habitação social e respectivos autores dos projectos, registos fotográficos das cores, localização (vistas aéreas, mapas). A segunda fase pretendeu determinar quais os critérios da aplicação da cor, se têm sido orientados por fundamentação científica, e se a cor faz parte da fase conceptual dos projectos. Para o efeito utilizaram-se entrevistas semi-estruturadas aos autores de alguns projectos seleccionados do total dos conjuntos previamente identificados. THE COLOUR MANAGEMENT IN SOCIAL HOUSING – LISBON XXI CENTURY
This research project intended to study the principles that have been guiding the application of colour in social housing buildings of Lisbon. The role of colour to create a better environment is important in these areas with sociological problems. Colour affects the well-being of people, has physical and psychological effects, and may influence the behaviour and balance of emotions. Colour should be a positive influence on users, contributing to social integration, acceptation of their houses, and to the respect for the public exterior areas. In this context, colour plans should be conscious, applied with specific criteria, and guided by principles having scientific fundamentals. This project was divided in two main parts: The identification of all social housing areas, with a data collection of photos, aerial views, maps, the identification of the authors of the colour schemes. The second part has the aim of determining the criteria that have been applied to some of these colour projects, if colour application has been guided by scientific fundamentals, and if colour takes part in the project conceptual phase. This was possible through a survey by semi-structured interviews with the authors of some colour schemes, selected from among those previously identified areas.
