Artificial intelligence has become one of the strongest tools used in a variety of sectors, including academic research. AI has the potential to revolutionize communication and research, facilitating the collection of data and providing more efficiency in the research process. This chapter aims to highlight the importance of AI research by using ChatGPT, a generative pre-trained transformer. ChatGPT was used to structure an interview directed to tourism agents in order to understand their vision of sustainability models in monitoring tourism companies’ activity in the sector. The tool was also interviewed to understand the possible input it would give to assist tourism agents in becoming more sustainable. It is concluded that AI can be a useful tool in research and in developing sustainability practices, projections, and the interpretation of data. However, it is essential to consider the ethical challenges and ensure a proper understanding of the limitations of these tools.
