Purpose: This article aims to make a bibliometric analysis of the studies published on green intellectual capital and to understand to what extent it can contribute to strengthening of sustainability and competitive advantage of organizations. Methodology: The systematic reviewing procedures followed PRISMA protocol, which in the time limits between 2008 and April 2022. The research identified the main challenge encountered by all researchers in the field. The study analyses publications from the last 14 years with the keywords "green intellectual capital" in titles, keywords, and abstracts in WoS. A total of 45 articles were obtained and 11 were excluded, resulting in a total of 34 articles analyzed. Results: Research studies confirm the positive impact of the incorporation of green intellectual capital in organizational policies and practices. In addition to helping minimize the negative environmental impacts of their activities, they project an environmentally responsible image and provide a boost to their competitive advantage. Research limitations: The main limitation of this study is the small number of studies, as it focused on those published in the WoS, having as perspective the inclusion of other studies published in other access platforms Originality: The results of the study have implications for greater awareness of the importance of environmental concerns in companies, through innovation in greener products, processes, and procedures.
