Este trabalho tem como objetivo obter uns Serviços de Saúde Militar onde a articulação entre Medicina Militar não Assistencial e o Hospital das Forças Armadas permita, depois da grande reforma a que foram sujeitos estes Serviços, níveis de prontidão, confiança e apoio sanitário adequado às mais diversas solicitações das Forças Armadas. Caraterizam-se os requisitos inerentes à Medicina Militar não Assistencial das Forças Armadas para definir as necessidades de cada Ramo; a doutrina da Organização Tratado do Atlântico Norte para Medical Support; as Evacuações Aeromédicas em território nacional, realizadas pelas Forças Armadas e pelas entidades civis e por fim carateriza-se o Hospital das Forças Armadas como hospital militar único, prestador da Saúde Assistencial. A metodologia utilizada neste trabalho para alcançar o objetivo geral foi o recurso ao método hipotético-dedutivo. Concluiu-se que a oferta de cuidados de Saúde Assistencial nos Ramos dificulta a missão do Hospital, seria vantajoso para as Evacuações Aéreas a criação de um órgão central nacional, devendo o Hospital das Forças Armadas ser o elo central e o referencial do Sistema de Saúde Militar. Abstract: This study aims at obtaining a Military Health Services where the articulation of Operational Military Medicine and the Armed Forces Hospital permits, after the Reform to which these services were subject, readiness and confidence levels and appropriate medical support responding to the Armed Forces requests. In this context, the specific requirements of the Operational Military Medicine are defined in view of the needs of each branch of the Armed Forces; the doctrine of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization for Medical Support and the Aeromedical Evacuations in Portugal, carried out by the Armed Forces and by civil entities are described; finally the Armed Forces Hospital as the only military hospital provider of Health Care is charaterized. The methodology used in this study to achieve the overall goal was the hypotheticaldeductive method. It was concluded that the fact of the Armed branches currently offers assistance medicine in their health services, it hinders the mission of the Armed Forces Hospital, being advantageous for the aeromedical evacuations to create a national agency centralising the operations. Likewise the Armed Forces Hospital should be the central body and the single reference of the portuguese Military Health System.
