Continente's grocery e{commerce team prepares 300k orders/year. Each operator steers the trolley to select items to multiple cli- ents. For each order, a picker may have to walk on the shop up to 2500m. SONAE MC's Grocery ecommerce is below international best practice efficiencies in picking. Picking ine ciencies to be addressed include improving picking tasks to minimize distances. There's a very high level of ambition within SONAE MC's ecommerce to boost growth and profitability.
