This study aims to understand the political and social intervention strategies adopted by sectors of the Catholic Church, especially in matters concerning the life of the field and the best land reform to be made in the country. Through the analysis of texts and articles published in the Revista Eclesi?stica Brasileira during the period 1950-1964, we will seek to understand the institutional trajectory of the journal, projects and Agrarian Reform of political views expressed in it and answer some questions raised during the investigation: as the R.E.B and his collaborators received the encyclicals of the Church? As their editors and contributors were positioned opposite the main political events of the period between 1950 and 1964? How faced intense debate on the agrarian question? Which proposals for agrarian reform were challenged at the R.E.B?

Este trabalho tem como objetivo compreender as estrat?gias de interven??o pol?tica e social adotadas por setores da Igreja Cat?lica, especialmente em quest?es relativas ? vida do campo e ? melhor reforma agr?ria a ser feita no pa?s. Por meio da an?lise de textos e artigos veiculados na Revista Eclesi?stica Brasileira, durante o per?odo de 1950 a 1964, buscaremos entender a trajet?ria institucional do peri?dico, os projetos e concep??es pol?ticas de Reforma Agr?ria expressos nele e responder algumas quest?es que foram colocadas durante a investiga??o: como a R.E.B. e seus colaboradores receberam as enc?clicas da Igreja? Como seus editores e colaboradores se posicionaram frente aos principais acontecimentos pol?ticos do per?odo entre 1950 e 1964? Como enfrentaram o intenso debate sobre a quest?o agr?ria? Quais as propostas de Reforma Agr?ria foram defendidas na R.E.B.?
