The benzene extract from the heart of Apuleia leiocarpa (Vog.) Macbr., Leguminosa-Caesalinioideae family contains (+)-pinitol, ?-sitosterol and 10 flavones. Three of these flevones are known as ayanine (CIV), oxyanine A (XCVII) and oxyanine B (CXXXVI). The constitution of the 7 new flavones, apulein (LXXIX), 5-0-demethylapuleine (LXXX), apuleisin (CXVI), apuleftrin (CXL), apuleirin (CLV), apuleidine (CXLVI) and 5-0-methyloxyanine A (XCVIII) have been established. Structural proposal is also launched for leiocarpine (CLXXVI), a new ptercarpan isolated from the benzene extract of the bark. The unusual oxygenation pattern of the flavones studied in this work is discussed. Comparison of extracts from different parts of the Apuleina morales species, by thin silica layer chromatography, showed no difference in chemical composition with respect to Apuleia leiocarpa.
O extrato benz?nico do cerne da Apuleia leiocarpa (Vog.) Macbr., fam?lia Leguminosa-Caesalinioideae cont?m (+)-pinitol, ?-sitosterol e10 flavonas. Tr?s destas flevonas s?o conhecidas como aianina (CIV), oxiaianina A (XCVII) e oxiaianina B (CXXXVI). A constitui??o das 7 novas flavonas, apuleina (LXXIX), 5-0-desmetilapuleina (LXXX), apuleisina (CXVI), apuleftrina (CXL), apuleirina (CLV), apuleidina (CXLVI) e 5-0-metiloxiaianina A(XCVIII) foram estabelecidas. Proposi??o estrutural ? tamb?m lan?ada para a leiocarpina (CLXXVI), um novo ptercarpano isolado do extrato benz?nico da casca. O padr?o de oxigena??o fora do comum das flavonas estudadas neste trabalho ? discutido. Compara??o de extratos de diferentes partes da esp?cie Apuleina morales, por cromatografia em camada delgada de s?lica, n?o revelou diferen?a em composi??o qu?mica com rela??o Apuleia leiocarpa.
