The link between the areas of health and communication is increasingly a reality. However, as with everything, there are always obstacles to overcome. In this article, I present my opinion on how the needs that gave rise to this bond arose, as well as its obstacles and ways in which they can be eliminated, while considering whether or not this reality constitutes a trend. The line of thought focuses on reinforcing and affirming the importance of Communication, as well as raising the awareness of health professionals for the same purpose.

O vínculo entre as áreas de saúde e comunicação constituem cada vez mais uma realidade. Contudo, tal como em tudo, surgem sempre obstáculos a superar. Neste artigo, apresento a minha opinião sobre como surgiram as necessidades que deram origem a este vínculo, assim como os seus obstáculos e forma sobre como poderão ser eliminados, sem deixar de ponderar sobre se esta realidade constitui ou não uma tendência. A linha de pensamento têm como foco o reforço e afirmação da importância da Comunicação, assim como a consciencialização dos profissionais de saúde para o mesmo efeito.
