This article investigates the concepts of social networks and influencers, considering the relevance of the conceptual understanding of the proposed themes. The aim of this work is to find out how digital has revolutionized our daily lives, not only in the business sector, but also as a society. The different types of influencers, influencer marketing as a new marketing strategy and the emergence of professional careers in the digital world will be covered in detail. Although this modernization has completely changed the lives of individuals, the negative side emerges. False realities such as the use of photoshop, superficial lifestyles, deceitful partners and excessive use of the media have caused some concern and fear. Therefore, this article presents a critical reflection on the demystification of certain digital realities and offers good practices on how the reader can reflect on and enjoy these platforms in the most advantageous and healthy way. O presente artigo investiga os conceitos das redes sociais e dos influenciadores, considerando a relevância de entendimento conceitual dos temas propostos. O objetivo deste trabalho é averiguar como o digital revolucionou o nosso quotidiano, não só no setor empresarial, mas também enquanto sociedade. Serão abordados de forma pormenorizada os diferentes tipos de influencers, o marketing de influência como uma nova estratégia de marketing e o surgimento de carreira profissional no mundo digital. Apesar desta modernização ter mudado por completo a vida dos indivíduos, o lado negativo emerge. As falsas realidades como o uso do photoshop, estilos de vida superficiais, parceiras enganosas e uso excessivo dos media causaram alguma preocupação e receio. Assim, este artigo apresenta uma reflexão crítica sobre a desmistificação de certas realidades do digital e oferece boas práticas de como o leitor pode refletir e usufruir destas plataformas da maneira mais vantajosa e saudável.
