La educomunicación como forma de empoderar a la ciudadanía digital. El caso de los docentes peruanos

La cultura digital protagoniza el momento actual y en ella se desarrolla la ciudadanía digital. En este contexto se establecen ciertos patrones de comportamiento que definen determinadas actuaciones de los usuarios de la red. Concretamente, en el contexto educativo de la zona de la selva peruana se ha realizado un estudio de diseño no experimental descriptivo en el que se obtiene información relativa a la autopercepción que tienen los docentes sobre la cultura digital y las actitudes a la hora de interactuar en las redes sociales. De los datos se infieren aspectos clave que ratifican la necesidad de alfabetización de los usuarios de las redes para que se empoderen y desarrollen actitudes positivas. Conductas que favorezcan la convivencia digital, para ello se reflexiona sobre investigaciones de carácter internacional que se ocupan de proteger derechos de la ciudadanía digital y de diseñar estrategias para empoderarla. Por todo ello, se proponen diferentes estrategias formativas con base en el desarrollo de la competencia digital. Al mismo tiempo se valora el seguir investigando en la línea iniciada y el establecer documentos marco que recojan las diferentes casuísticas. Todo ello con el fin de dotar a la ciudadanía de recursos que le permitan comunicarse e interactuar de forma responsable, participativa y ética. Se trata de empoderar al usuario para que se convierta en un resorte clave para la convivencia digito-presencial.

Digital culture is at the centre of the current moment and digital citizenship is developing within it. In this context, certain patterns of behaviour are established that define certain actions of network users. Specifically, in the educational context of the Peruvian jungle area, a descriptive non-experimental design study has been carried out to obtain information on the self-perception of teachers regarding digital culture and attitudes when interacting on social networks. From the data, key aspects are inferred that ratify the need for literacy among network users for them to empower themselves and develop positive attitudes. Behaviours that favour digital coexistence, for which we reflect on international research that deals with protecting the rights of digital citizens and designing strategies to empower them. For all these reasons, different training strategies are proposed based on the development of digital competence. At the same time, further research in the line initiated and the establishment of framework documents that collect the different casuistry is valued. The aim is to provide citizens with resources that enable them to communicate and interact in a responsible, participatory and ethical manner. The aim is to empower users so that they become a key springboard for digital-presential coexistence.
