A cirurgia bariátrica é indicada em casos de idade, comorbidades e índice de massa corporal que ultrapasse os 40 kg/m². Este estudo tem como objetivo descrever as percepções de pessoas que foram submetidos à cirurgia bariátrica. A cirurgia bariátrica (CB) é um método bastante utilizado em pessoas que querem uma mudança na estética corporal, e não somente visando o tratamento de comorbidades já existentes. Determinadas alterações podem acometer indivíduos que realizam a cirurgia bariátrica. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo exploratório de abordagem qualitativa, método de estudo de caso. Para a coleta dos dados foram realizadas entrevistas abertas, padronizadas e questionário semiestruturado para pessoas que se submeteram a cirurgia bariátrica. Após a coleta, os dados foram transcritos na íntegra, organizados e analisados. Os resultados se apresentam em quatro grandes categorias: 1) A obesidade e suas complicações; 2) O primeiro olhar para a bariátrica; 3) Um novo viver com a bariátrica e 4) Satisfações dos resultados. O presente estudo permitiu identificar que cada pessoa bariátrica possui suas características individuais neste processo que as mudanças ocorreram para todos os entrevistados da pesquisa, em âmbito físico, psicológico e de relação social. ABSTRACT Perspective of the person submitted to bariatric surgery Bariatric surgery is indicated in cases of age, comorbidities and body mass index that exceeds 40 kg / m². This study aims to describe the perceptions of people who underwent bariatric surgery. Bariatric surgery (CB) is a widely used method in people who want a change in body aesthetics, and not only for the treatment of existing comorbidities. Certain changes may affect individuals undergoing bariatric surgery. This is an exploratory descriptive study with a qualitative approach, a case study method. Data were collected through open, standardized interviews and a semi-structured questionnaire for people who underwent bariatric surgery. After the data collection, the data were transcribed in full, organized and analyzed. The results are presented in four broad categories: 1) Obesity and its complications; 2) The first look at the bariatric; 3) A new live with bariatric and 4) Satisfaction of results. The present study allowed to identify that each bariatric person has its individual characteristics in this process that the changes occurred for all interviewees of the research, in physical, psychological and social relation.
