Description

Investigating various stirring and ultrasonic methods also addresses the practical challenges faced in scaling up metal matrix composites (MMC) production. Traditional stir casting methods, while beneficial, have limitations related to the uniformity of particle distribution and the tendency for particle agglomeration and porosity formation. Ultrasonic cavitation, on the other hand, has shown promise in enhancing particle deagglomeration and wettability, but dispersion may depend on the tool used. Current investigation delves into the dispersion and deagglomeration capabilities of differing mixing methods, such as the tilted blade impeller, acoustic sonotrode cylindrical tip, and acoustic sonotrode tube
