Description

Several studies indicate Graphogame as an effective tool on reading and spelling acquisition. Graphogame has been designed and implemented in different languages. The Portuguese Foundation Graphogame is an adaptation of the software to European Portuguese. In this study, the Portuguese Foundation Graphogame is described and the impact on foundation reading skills is assessed. Results indicate an increase on all foundation skills after training. It is concluded that early qualified, continuous and systematic training in a playful environment does impact positively on reducing reading difficulties.
