Description

We investigate an heterostructure consisting of Co2FeAl/TiO2 deposited onto Si(100) substrate by Magnetron Sputtering. Specifically, we explore the influence of the thickness of the amorphous TiO2 layer on the quasi-static and dynamic magnetic properties of the Co2FeAl layer. The structural properties of the heterostructure are studied through X-ray diffraction and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The magnetic behavior is acquired by magnetization curves, whilst the magnetization dynamics is obtained by the Magnetoimpedance effect at the high-frequency range. We go beyond the experimental analysis and present a theoretical approach to describe the magnetization dynamics of our system. We verify the main aspects of the Magnetoimpedance effect remain unchanged, although its efficiency is dependent on the TiO2 thickness. Our promising results enable us to integrate these materials to compose multifunctional materials for future technological applications, in which the magnetic and electric properties can be combined.
