Artificial articular joints are one of the most successful medical devices used in human beings providing amazing recovery of mobility. No less important for quality of life is oral health, in which dental tribology plays a decisive role complemented by soft oral tribology particularly due to the surprising close relationship found between friction coefficient, rheology of foods and the oral perception/flavor.
