Proponho este tema com o objetivo de analisar e comparar as culturas do provérbio na China e em Portugal, do ponto de vista linguístico e textual, provérbios portugueses e chineses com nomes de comida. Partimos do conceito de provérbio como um tipo de enunciado lexicalizado, pertencente à língua. Depois da introdução dos pressupostos teóricos, em que se apresentam algumas teorias sobre os provérbios nas duas culturas, faz-se uma apresentação geral dos provérbios portugueses e chineses (com nomes de comida), começando por identificar quais os nomes de comida mais populares nos provérbios das duas línguas. Procede-se a uma análise comparativa de provérbios portugueses e chineses com os nomes de comida mais comuns, analisando comparativamente provérbios das duas línguas. Através da comparação entre as culturas dos provérbios portugueses e chineses com nomes de comida, estudo este contextuado em considerações que relevam da cultura, da história, da sociedade, poderemos porventura melhor aprofundar alguma análise contrastiva das duas sociedades e culturas no que diz respeito a este género textual de sabedoria popular.

The present study proposes with the objective of analyzing and comparing the cultures of the proverb in China and Portugal, from the linguistic and textual point of view, Portuguese and Chinese proverbs with names of food. We start from the concept of proverb as a type of lexicalized statement, belonging to the language. After the introduction of the theoretical assumptions, which present some theories about the proverbs in the two cultures, a general presentation of the Portuguese and Chinese proverbs (with names of food) is made, beginning with identifying the most popular food names in the proverbs of the two languages. A comparative analysis of Portuguese and Chinese proverbs with the most common food names is done comparing proverbs of the two languages. By comparing the cultures of Portuguese and Chinese proverbs with names of food, a study that is contextualized in cultural, historical, and societal considerations, we may perhaps wish to deepen some contrastive analysis of the two societies and cultures with respect to this textual genre of popular wisdom.
