A animação das festas de Inverno do concelho de Bragança: os caretos na escola, o reavivar das tradições

A constatação de que os nossos alunos conhecem pouco as tradições do seu Concelho foi o ponto de partida para esta dissertação. Alguns deles, oriundos de localidades com algumas tradições, conhecem apenas uma ínfima parte dessa realidade, e desconhecem mesmo o que acontece em localidades vizinhas. Numa era em que as tecnologias lhes absorvem, por inteiro, o tempo e os interesses, e as famílias vivem em azáfama constante à procura de melhores condições de vida, cabe à Escola trazer para o contexto educativo a sensibilização para o conhecimento e a preservação do património sociocultural da nossa região, cabendo ao professor um papel primordial e preponderante. A intenção deste estudo foi reavivar aos alunos do 5.º ano do Ensino Básico, as tradições das festividades de Inverno do Concelho de Bragança, - que muito contribuíram para o desenhar da identidade do povo e para a construção da sua história -, através de um Projecto Pedagógico desenvolvido na escola, em contexto de sala de aula, no âmbito da disciplina de Educação Visual e Tecnológica (EVT). Assim, numa unidade de trabalho relacionada com o Carnaval, leccionada pela investigadora (docente de EVT das turmas participantes) em cooperação com os professores pares pedagógicos, desenvolveram-se um conjunto de actividades que englobaram o levantamento de informação sobre as características das Festas de Inverno em localidades do Concelho de Bragança com “Caretos” ou “Mascarados”, a execução dos trajes (fatos, máscaras e acessórios) que caracterizam as figuras principais dessas festas, uma palestra temática e a mostra/exposição dos trabalhos executados pelos alunos. Pretendeu-se compreender como é que esta proposta de trabalho possibilitou aos alunos uma melhoria dos seus conhecimentos acerca dos costumes das gentes da sua região nesta temática, para que, pela via do conhecimento, eles contribuam, no futuro, para a preservação deste património. The fact that our students know very little about the traditions of their municipality was the starting point for this dissertation. Some of them, from places which have some traditions, know only a fraction of that reality, and do not know what happens in other nearby locations. At a time that technologies absorb whole their time and interests, and their families are very busy in search of better living conditions, it concerns the school to bring to the educational context the sensitization for knowledge and the preservation of the sociological and cultural heritage of our region, having the teacher the primary and predominant role. The purpose of this study was to renew to the students of the fifth year of basic education, the traditions of winter festivities in the municipality of Bragança - which deeply contributed to draw the identity of the people and for the construction of his history -, through a Pedagogical Project developed at school, in the context of the classroom, within the subject of Educação Visual e Tecnológica (EVT). Thus, in an unit of work related to the Carnival, taught by the researcher (EVT teacher of the participating classes) in cooperation with colleagues in pedagogical pair regimen, were developed a set of activities that include survey of information on the characteristics of the winter holidays in locations of the municipality of Bragança with “Caretos ” or “Mascarados”, the making of the costumes (suit of clothes, masks and clothing requisites) which characterize the main figures of these parties, a thematic lecture and the exhibition of the work done by the students. It was our aim to understand how this proposal of work made possible to students an improvement of their knowledge about people’s traditions of their region on this subject, in order to, through knowledge, they can contribute, in the future, to preserve this heritage.
