O presente trabalho de investigação estuda a forma como os recursos energéticos necessários ao funcionamento das estruturas edificadas no “campus” da Academia da Força Aérea são usados, em matéria de eficiência e uso racional. Este tema assume particular importância, em virtude da Academia apresentar elevados consumos de energia e não possuir qualquer estrutura ou sistema dedicado à gestão desses mesmos recursos. Após uma breve descrição e identificação das linhas orientadoras que sustentam as politicas de eficiência, gestão e uso racional da energia na UE e em Portugal, a metodologia adoptada, assente, nomeadamente, na análise e caracterização do perfil de consumos da AFA, permitiu constatar e identificar que a implementação de um sistema de gestão de energia tem um elevado potencial para gerar poupanças significativas na sua factura energética. Os resultados obtidos e a análise realizada permitiram ainda desenvolver um modelo conceptual para a estrutura de um sistema de gestão de energia, apoiado em quatro vectores fundamentais: contabilização da energia utilizada; monitorização; consumos normalizados e metas e aproveitamento de soluções alternativas e energeticamente eficientes (energias renováveis). As conclusões deste trabalho conduzem-nos a apontar algumas recomendações, que se consideram importantes para o sucesso da gestão da energia na AFA: a nomeação de um Oficial Gestor de Energia e a elaboração de um Manual que contenha as orientações, politicas, responsabilidades e competências claramente definidas no âmbito da Gestão de Energia. Abstract: The present work of investigation, studies the form as the necessary energy resources to the functioning of the structures built in the “campus” of the Academy Air Force are used, in substance of efficiency and rational use. This subject assumes special importance, in virtue of the Academy to present high consumptions of energy and not to have any structure or dedicated system to the management of these same resources. After one soon description and identification of the orienting lines that support the policy of efficiency, management and rational use of the energy in the UE and Portugal, the methodology adoptee seats, nominated in the analysis and characterization of the profile of consumptions of the AFA, allowed to evidence and to identify that the implementation of a system of energy management one has raised potential one to generate significant savings in its energy invoice. The gotten results and the carried through analysis had still allowed to develop a conceptual model for the structure of a system of management of energy supported in four basic vectors: accounting of the used energy; monitoring; normalized consumptions and goals and exploitation of alternative and energetic efficient solutions (energies renovables). The conclusions of this work lead-in pointing some recommendations, that if consider important for the success of the management of the energy in the AFA: the nomination of a Managing Officer of Energy and the elaboration of a Manual that contains the orientations, policies, responsibilities and abilities defined clearly in the scope of the Management of Energy
