O nosso estudo teve como objectivo avaliar a existência, intensidade e frequência de condutas de assédio moral, bem como suas consequências nos trabalhadores que desenvolvem as suas actividades em organizações do distrito de Setúbal. A amostra produtora de dados é constituída por 150 indivíduos, tendo 108 respondido ao Questionário sobre Assédio Moral (QAM), pertencentes a organizações públicas e privadas que integram as áreas da Indústria, Construção Civil, Restauração/Hotelaria, Serviços e administração pública. Os dados obtidos revelam a existência, em percentagens muito expressivas, de diversos tipos de ataques: laborais ao nível da distribuição de tarefas e das condições de trabalho, vem como críticas insidiosas sobre as actividades profissionais das vítimas; às relações sociais durante as actividades de trabalho, através de isolamento, desconsideração pessoal e ofensas à vida privada; à saúde mental; ataques físicos; verbais, quer explícitos, quer implícitos; raciais; religiosos e políticos, e ainda de natureza sexual.
It is only recently that the work related moral harassment has been an object of a true definition even though this subject has existed for a long time. It is now considered important enough to be approached and discussed in the psycho social and judicial areas. The goal of our study is to evaluate the existence, intensity and frequency of moral harassment conducts, as well as it's consequences on workers that develop their activities in organizations from the Setubal district. The data sample comprehends 150 individuals, and from those 108 filled the Moral Harassment Questionnaire (QAM). These individuals belong to public and private organizations in the various areas of Industry, Civil Construction, Food and Beverage / Hospitality, Services and Public Administration. The obtained data reveals the existence, in very clear percentages, of several types of harassment attacks: at task distribution levels and work conditions, as well as treacherous criticism bout professional activities of the victims; social relations during work activities, through isolation, lack of respect and offenses to ones private life; mental healthiness; physical attacks; verbal attacks being explicit or implicit; racial, religious and political and even sexual harassment.
