Resumo: Esta tese procura elucidar, sob a perspectiva da filosofia da tecnologia, o que são as tecnologias e como elas possibilitam o desenvolvimento científico e ainda como implicam na criação e perpetuação de estruturas sociais e existenciais. O método de investigação é pautado, sobretudo, na pós-fenomenologia e na hermenêutica material, de modo que no primeiro momento se demonstra a forma como Don Ihde descreve a tecnologia, tanto por sua característica multiestável, quanto na forma como as tecnologias condicionam a experiência humana com base nas relações humano-tecnologia. Partindo desta concepção acerca do desenvolvimento tecnológico procura-se compreender como as tecnologias são o fundamento do desenvolvimento científico de forma tal que a ciência sempre foi tecnociência. Por fim, tendo como base as mesmas definições sobre o fenômeno da tecnologia junto à experiência existencial humana e às práticas científicas, avalia-se como o desenvolvimento tecnológico produziu estruturas de domínio e controle que são o próprio milieu do mundo civilizado atual. Abstract: This thesis seeks to elucidate, from the perspective of the philosophy of technology, what technologies are and how they enable scientific development and yet how they imply in the creation and perpetuation of social and existential structures. The method of investigation is based mainly on post-phenomenology and material hermeneutics, so that in the first moment it is demonstrated how Don Ihde describes the technology, as much for its multistability characteristic, as in the way the technologies condition the experience based on humantechnology relations. From this conception of technological development, it is sought to understand how technologies are the foundation of scientific development in such a way that science has always been technoscience. Finally, based on the same definitions of the phenomenon of technology together with existential human experience and scientific practices, it is evaluated how technological development has produced structures of domination and control that are the very milieu of the present civilized world.
