The present study follows up from the monographic analysis done a few years ago involving part of an ex-voto collection by the author of Marânus, which he may have received through his fellow Fausto Guedes Teixeira, a poet from Lamego. Here, another two pieces from the same group, owned by Gatão, are analysed, and biographical connections are established. More importantly, the study attempts to interpret the presence of "milagre" paintings in that unique physical, emotional, and spiritual space which Pascoaes raised to the sublime and - through the genesiac fulgency of his texts and images - wished to bequeath to us as portico of future sacrality.
