O tema escolhido para esta investigação foca-se no Autismo. A experiência profissional relacionada com o desconhecimento das estratégias utilizadas na sala de jardim-de-infância com crianças com Perturbação do Espetro do Autismo (PEA) levantou grande interesse em aprofundar esta temática. Dado que os Educadores de Infância são dos primeiros intervenientes no processo educativo, procura-se saber com este estudo se as (os) educadoras (es) de infância identificam sinais de alerta no desenvolvimento das crianças em geral; percecionar quais os sinais de alerta, associados à PEA, que as (os) educadoras (es) identificam; e identificar quais as estratégias utilizadas pelas (os) educadoras (es), com as crianças que apresentam comportamentos associados/próximos à PEA. Ao longo da realização deste trabalho, e com base nas leituras para o enquadramento teórico, vários autores referiram a importância da eleição das competências sociais nestas crianças. Com base na análise dos questionários realizados no âmbito deste estudo pode-se afirmar que os resultados da investigação revelam que muitos educadores se mostram empenhados no apoio aos alunos com PEA. De acordo com os inquiridos e com os investigadores estudados na revisão da literatura é possível afirmar que os educadores podem identificar sinais de alerta no desenvolvimento das crianças em geral, bem como nas crianças com PEA. Temos também de conhecer algumas das estratégias possíveis de utilizar no jardim-de-infância com crianças com PEA.

The theme chosen for this investigation focuses on Autism. Professional experience related to the ignorance of the strategies used in the living room nursery with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (PEA) has raised great interest in deepening this issue. Given that the kindergartners are stakeholders in the educational process, seeks to know with this study as (the) educators (es) of childhood identify warning signs in the development of children in general; to apprehend what are the warning signs associated with the PEA, that (the) educators (es) identify and identify what are the strategies used by (the) educators (es), with children who exhibit behaviors associated with/close to PEA. Throughout this study, through readings, several authors have pointed out the importance of the election of social skills in these children. Based on the analysis of the questionnaires carried out within the framework of the study it can be affirmed that the results of the investigation show that many educators are engaged in supporting students with PEA. According to the respondents and researchers studied in the literature review, it is possible to affirm that educators can identify warning signs in the development of children in General, as well as in children with PEA. We also need to meet some of the possible strategies used in kindergarten with children with PEA.
