O presente relatório foi realizado no Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Atualmente, a sociedade caracteriza-se por diversas componentes, entre elas a estrutura familiar sendo nos distintos tipos de estrutura familiar que a criança se encontra inserida. Desta forma, o presente relatório apresenta como temática “A Estrutura Familiar: que reflexos nos comportamentos sociais da criança?” e como questão de partida, “Até que ponto a estrutura familiar a que a criança pertence tem influencia nos seus comportamentos?”. Deste modo, foi realizada uma investigação e utilizados instrumentos com o intuito de proceder à recolha de dados. Estes passaram pela observação participante, análise documental e ainda a realização de entrevistas a duas profissionais de educação: educadora de infância e professora do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Assim, foram abordadas temáticas como a conceção de escola e família, a estrutura e o ambiente familiar, a relação escola-famílias e ainda o comportamento e aprendizagem das crianças. Para as fundamentar foram tidos em conta os contributos de vários autores, entre eles Silva (1993), Villas-Boas (2001) e Sampaio (1984). Em suma, esta pesquisa reflete a observação e intervenção em estágio nos contextos de Educação Pré-Escolar, mais concretamente num grupo de 5 anos, e de 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, numa turma do 3º ano de escolaridade. A análise dos dados aponta para o facto de nem sempre os tipos de estrutura familiar serem determinantes para os comportamentos sociais que a criança apresenta. Assim, importa antes ter em conta o ambiente familiar e a qualidade das interações nele estabelecidas
The present report was held for the Major in Pre-School Education and First Cycle of Basic Education. Nowadays society caracterizes itself by a range of different componentes, the types of family structure in which a child is inserted in is one of them. The following report has as its central topic “The Family Structure: Which effects does it have on a child’s behaviour?” and as its guiding question, or starting point, “How far does the family structure a child belongs to influences its behaviour?”. Having this in mind, there was an investigation covering both points referred above, and, for that, a wide range of technics and instruments were used with the aim of collecting data, instruments of direct and indirect observation. In addition, two interviews were conducted with two education professionals: a kindergarten teacher and a primary school teacher. Therefore, this report adresses thematics such as the role of families, family’s environment, their influence in a child’s learning process and behaviour, the perception and influence of the educational professionals as well as the relationships that must be established between educational institutions and families. To support the themes covered some authors were considered such as Silva (1993), Villas-Boas (2001) and Sampaio (1984). The research gathers all the observations and interventions taken during an internship in the context of Pre-School Education, more precisely in a 5-years-old group, and in the First Cycle of Basic Education, in a third grade class. To sum up, this document reflects all the practices observed and the results gathered show that the family’s stucture does not always affect the behaviour of a child, reaching the conclusion that the most important aspect is the environment in which the child is inserted as well as the quality of the relationships they are exposed to.
