Relatório de Estágio apresentado à Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco para cumprimento dos requisitos necessários à obtenção do grau de Mestre em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.
O presente relatório de Estágio foi elaborado para a conclusão do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, da Escola Superior de Educação de Castelo Branco. A prática supervisionada teve uma duração de catorze semanas e decorreu em Castelo Branco, no infantário Alfredo Mota com crianças de três anos de idade e na escola Afonso de Paiva com uma turma de 1º ano de escolaridade. Este relatório apresenta as atividades desenvolvidas na Prática Supervisionada do Mestrado, em particular no 1º Ciclo e integra a investigação “Contributo das ilustrações para a construção das representações de género na criança do 1º ciclo”. Esta investigação baseia-se na análise das formas como o masculino e o feminino são representados por meio de imagens nos manuais escolares, e na análise da reação das crianças a essas imagens, como tal achámos importante ter conhecimento sobre os conceitos de ilustração, género, estereótipo e textos de literatura para crianças. Na primeira fase da investigação usámos o Manual Alfa Português 1 utilizado na turma onde realizamos a Prática Supervisionada, mas devido à simplicidade das suas ilustrações decidimos analisar também as ilustrações de um livro de literatura infantil, A Família C, de forma a enriquecer a investigação. Do ponto de vista metodológico, esta investigação tratou-se de um estudo de caso, sendo que as técnicas de recolha de dados utilizadas foram a observação direta e as notas de campo.
This internship report was prepared as part of the conclusion of the Master in Preschool Education and 1st Cycle of Basic Education from Castelo Branco’s Superior School of Education. The two Supervised Teaching and Practice had a duration of 14 weeks and was held in Castelo Branco. The first supervised teaching and practice was with children between the age of three years old in kindergarten Alfredo Mota and the second one was developed in School Afonso de Paiva with a class of 1st grade level. This report presents the activities undertaken in the Supervised Teaching and Practice, in particular on the 1st Cycle and integrates the research “Contribution of the illustrations for the construction of gender representations in the child of the 1st Cycle. This research is based on analysis of the ways in which the male and female are represented through images in textbooks, and in the analysis of the reaction of children to these images, as such we thought it important to have knowledge about the concepts of illustration, gender, stereotype and texts of literature for children. In the first phase of the investigation we used the Alpha Português 1, that’s used in the class where we perform the Supervised Teaching and Practice, but because of the simplicity of their illustrations we decided to examine further. For that we used the illustrations of a book of children's literature, A Família C, in order to enrich the research. From the methodological point of view, this research consisted of a case study and the techniques of data collection used were direct observation and field notes.
