A canção como meio facilitador na aquisição de vocabulário em educação infantil

Resumo No âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico é efetuada uma reflexão crítica sobre o percurso realizado na Educação Pré-Escolar e no 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Inicialmente será feita uma contextualização dos locais onde foram desenvolvidas as práticas profissionais e posteriormente será apresentada uma reflexão sobre as práticas concretizadas, bem como uma análise dos conhecimentos e competências desenvolvidos. Em relação ao trabalho de investigação foi realizado um estudo de caso, relativo à exploração de canções em creches, de forma a averiguar se as canções são um meio facilitador na aquisição de vocabulário. A recolha de dados é efetuada através da observação direta de crianças com idades compreendidas entre um e três anos, através de inquéritos por entrevista, tendo como intervenientes várias educadoras de infância. Os resultados obtidos permitiram concluir que, no caso específico onde ocorreu a recolha de dados e de acordo com os sujeitos entrevistados, as canções auxiliam as crianças com idades inferiores a três anos na aquisição de vocabulário.

Abstract As part of Masters in Preschool Education and Teaching 1st Cycle of Basic Education the following paper reflects on the route taken in Preschool Education and the 1st Primary School. Initially, there will be a contextualization about where the professional practices took place, followed by a reflection on the implemented practices, such as an analysis about the developed knowledge and skills. Regarding research work, we conducted a case study about the exploitation of songs in daycare centers, in order to ascertain if the songs can facilitate the acquisition of vocabulary. The data collection is done through direct observation of children aged between one and three years old, and also through interview surveys, with various childhood educators. The results showed that, in the specific case where data collection occurred and according to the interviewees, the songs can help children aged less than three years in the acquisition of vocabulary.
