Com a implementação de um polo do Ecomuseu do Barroso em Fafião pretende-se manter e ampliar a base económica do contexto rural desta aldeia, mediante a preservação de atividades competitivas e multifuncionais, a diversificação da economia local e a incorporação de novas dinâmicas. ~Para tal, entende-se como prioritário o aumento dos níveis de população na região, por meio de incentivos à fixação de jovens com projetos diferenciados e inovadores, assegurando e aumentando o bem-estar da população, e mantendo os serviços públicos básicos adequados no concelho. Pretende-se recuperar e conservar o património e os recursos naturais e culturais da região, permitindo a sua utilização de forma sustentável. As atividades económicas devem também ser diversificadas, mantendo os setores agrícola e florestal competitivos, e impulsando a criação de novos sectores de atividade. Os aspetos logísticos devem ser melhorados, nomeadamente com a criação de infraestruturas básicas de equipamentos públicos, melhoria da rede de transportes e estruturas de apoio a atividades balneares. A oferta turística deve apoiar-se em aspetos de diversidade e qualidade, incluindo atividades de interpretação e de valorização da paisagem, bem como de contextualização do património cultural, tendo em conta o seu significado social. Deve também ser acompanhada pelo estudo e mensuração da contribuição para o desenvolvimento do turismo, nos seus aspetos económico e cultural, bem como a sua divulgação. O polo de Ecomuseu do Barroso não deverá ser entendido como uma parcela da comunidade, mas sim como uma integração no seu meio ambiente. Deve abranger todos os setores do meio físico e social, população, património natural, construído e cultural, para assim refletir a coletividade da qual fazem parte, explicando e interpretando a sua história, o seu tempo e todo o seu património. Deste modo salvaguarda-se a memória, permitindo que gerações futuras possam ter a oportunidade de conhecerem as suas referências passadas. Estas iniciativas serão fundamentais para o desenvolvimento económico, representando uma mais-valia para o mundo rural, já que o património natural será sempre salvaguardado e valorizado, contribuindo para o aumento do bem-estar da população. Consequentemente, a procura do turismo também irá sofrer um aumento e, com isso, toda a economia poderá sofrer um desenvolvimento e possibilitar a criação de novos postos de trabalho que na região são, até à data, bastante escassos. Com este trabalho pretende-se contribuir de forma útil para o processo de instalação do polo de Ecomuseu do Barroso em Fafião. Não é um trabalho conclusivo, mas com ideias de reflecção e uteis para amplas discussões, de forma a sensibilizar a comunidade e as instituições locais para esta realidade continuar até à sua realização total.
The implementation of a part of the Ecomuseu do Barroso in Fafião aims to maintain and expand the economic context of this village, with the preservation of competitive and multifunctional activities, the diversification of the local economy and the incorporation of new activities. To this purpose, it is understood as a priority the increase of the population levels in the region, through incentives for the settlement of young people with different and innovative projects, ensuring and enhancing the welfare of the population, and the maintenance of the adequate basic public services in the village. It is intended to restore and preserve the heritage and natural and cultural resources of the region, allowing its use in a sustainable manner. Economic activities should also be diversified, keeping the agricultural and forestry sectors competitive, and impelling the creation of new sectors of activity. The logistical aspects should be improved, in particular the establishment of the basic infrastructure of public facilities, improving the transport network and support structures for bathing activities. The tourist offer should be based on aspects of diversity and quality, including interpretation and enhancement of the landscape activities, as well as contextualization of cultural heritage, taking into account its social significance. It must also be followed by the study and measurement of the contribution to the development of tourism in its economic and cultural aspects, as well as its advertisement. This part of the Ecomuseu do Barroso should not be understood as a part of the community, but as an integration in its environment. It should include all sectors of the physical and social environment, population, natural heritage, built and cultural, thus to reflect the community in which they live, explaining and interpreting its history, its time and its heritage. Thereby the memory is preserved, allowing future generations to have the opportunity to know their past references. These initiatives will be critical to economic development, representing an added value to the rural economy, as the natural heritage will always be safeguarded and valued, contributing to the increase in the welfare of the population. Consequently, the demand for tourism will also be increased, and with it, the entire economy could suffer a development and enable the creation of new jobs in the region that are, to date, very scarce. With this work it’s intended to contribute usefully to the installation process of this part of the Ecomuseu do Barroso in Fafião. It is not a conclusive study, but with some ideas of reflection and useful for extensive discussions, in order to sensitize the community and local institutions to continue this reality to its full realization.
