A partilha de conteúdos audiovisuais através de streaming em Portugal: o estudo de caso do wareztuga

A presente investigação trata das novas formas de partilha e acesso a conteúdos audiovisuais mediante plataformas da Internet e as consequências que têm para os modelos tradicionais da indústria cinematográfica. Assim, propõe-se o estudo e análise do website Wareztuga como objeto que permite observar grande parte destas alterações na indústria referida. Neste sentido, numa primeira fase é realizada a contextualização do objeto de estudo, apresentando os conceitos mais relevantes e as perspetivas teóricas que mais importa destacar, como é o caso da digitalização, do significado do streaming e as várias alterações comunicacionais derivadas da Web 2.0. A esta fase seguiu-se uma outra de análise de estudo de caso, cujo objetivo é descrever o website, apresentá-lo e perceber se é representativo das transformações que a partilha de ficheiros na Internet vem sofrendo. Considerando os resultados encontrados posteriormente à análise efetuada, propõe-se que a indústria cinematográfica tem vindo a aceitar as novas formas de visualização, acesso e partilha de conteúdos na Internet, como é o caso do streaming, adaptando-se a esta nova realidade, tornando o seu modelo de negócio mais competitivo. No entanto, no que toca a este setor a nível nacional existe ainda um grande caminho a percorrer, em que estes negócios tentem adaptar-se e inovar de forma a oferecer os conteúdos que o público pretende.

This research deals with new ways of sharing and access to audiovisual content through Internet platforms and the consequences they have for the traditional models of the film industry. Thus, it is proposed the study and analysis of Wareztuga website as an object that allows us to observe many of these changes in this industry. In this regard, the first step is the contextualization of the subject matter, presenting the most relevant concepts and theoretical perspectives that matters most stand out, such as digitization, the meaning of streaming and the various communication alterations by Web 2.0. This phase was followed by a another case study analysis, which aims to describe the website, submit it and realize if it is representative of the transformations that file sharing on the Internet has been suffering. Considering the results the analysis performed later, it is proposed that the film industry has come to accept the new forms of viewing, accessing and sharing content on the Internet, such as streaming, adapting to this new reality, making its competitive business model. However, with regard to this sector at a national level there is still a long way to go in these businesses: try to adapt and innovate in order to provide the content that public want.
