Esta investigação pretende analisar a estratégia política e a estratégia comunicacional do XVIII Governo Constitucional (2009-2011), num período de crise económica e financeira que afectou não só Portugal como um número significativo de países a nível europeu, sobretudo, mas também a nível mundial. Através da análise de conteúdo das declarações dos vários membros do Governo que foram reflectidas pela imprensa, este trabalho procura identificar quais os actores políticos mais relevantes daquele período e quais os traços predominantes do percurso político seguido pelo executivo português no combate à crise, procurando perceber a importância da estratégia comunicacional como arma política.
This research aims to analyze the political strategy and communication strategy of the Portuguese XVIII Constitutional Government (2009-2011), a period of economic and financial crisis that affected not only Portugal but a significant number of countries at European level, particularity. Through content analysis of the statements of several members of government that were reflected in the press, this paper research seeks to identify the most relevant political actors of that period and what are the essential features followed by the Portuguese government in fighting the crisis, trying to understand the importance of communication strategy as a political tool.
