Problema: A experiência vivida dos pais em luto é alvo de poucos estudos e é escassa a literatura sobre o tema, especialmente quando se engloba o processo psicoterapêutico mais especificamente a terapia de grupos. Objetivo: Este estudo tem o objetivo de compreender as temáticas existências relativas à vivência do luto dos pais estando estes em terapias de grupo e como a experiência do luto com esta variável se manifesta e é significativa para a pessoa. Método: Entrevistas semiestruturadas de investigação, baseadas no método fenomenológico, a 7 pais enlutados que frequentam terapias de grupo há no mínimo 3 meses. Estas foram analisadas através do método fenomenológico. Resultados: Surgiram os significados psicológicos da reação inicial à perda, do confronto com a finitude, dos modos de ser defensivos, da culpa, da revolta, da ausência, a psicóloga, as sessões, o grupo, o suporte social, o suporte familiar, o suporte conjugal, a mudança em si mesmo, o quotidiano, a religião/crenças e espiritualidade e a idealização/sonhos. Conclusão: Este estudo é um contributo importante para confirmar investigações previamente realizadas e acrescentar alguns dados à literatura já existente.
ABSTRACT: Problem: The life experience of bereaved parents is subject of few studies and there is a very scass literature on the subject, especially when it covers the psychotherapeutic process more specifically the group therapy. Aim: This study aims to understand the existential themes relating to parental grief experience, being them on a group therapies and how the grief experience with this variable is manifested and is meaningful to the person. Method: Semi-structured investigation interviews, based on the phenomenological method, to 7 bereaved parents, who attend group therapy for at least 3 months. These were analysed by the phenomenological method. Results: Appeared the psychological meanings of the initial reaction to the loss, the confrontation with the finitude, being defensive ways, guilt, rebellion, lack, psychologist, sessions, group, social support, family support, marriage support, the change in yourself, everyday, religion/beliefs and spirituality and idealization / dreams. Conclusion: This study is an important contribution to confirm previously conducted investigations and add some data to the existing literature.
