Este trabalho tem como objetivo aceder à experiência subjetiva dos profissionais que trabalham em instituições na área da deficiência, em contacto direto e diário com os utentes das mesmas. Para tal usou-se a FANI – Free Association Narrative Interview, para através da intersubjetividade criada no momento/ durante a entrevista aceder à subjetividade das pessoas na sua realidade laboral. Participaram no estudo três mulheres que trabalham diretamente com os utentes da instituição. Da análise feita, percebeu-se que as três mulheres se posicionam num lugar de cuidadoras. No entanto, esta relação de ajuda que todas adotam acaba, invariavelmente, por se revelar um não lugar, ou um lugar de desconforto, uma vez que lhes gera grande agressividade e frustração, constituindo-se como uma ameaça à sua identidade. Um outro aspeto transversal às três participantes tem a ver com o movimento de igualização. Todas elas põem tudo e todos ao mesmo nível. Colocam-se ao nível dos utentes, desvalorizando-se e criticam os superiores hierárquicos retirando-lhes valor. Ao anularem estas fronteiras e aos retirarem os limites entre o eu e o outro, perdem o seu lugar. Contudo esta parece ser a maneira que estas mulheres encontraram para se relacionar com os utentes, neste contexto profissional.
The objective of this study was to try to access the subjective experience of professionals who work in institutions in the area of disability, whom have direct and daily contact with their users. In this regard, the FANI – Free Association Narrative Interview was used. The intersubjectivity created in the moment / during the interview allowed access to the subjectivity of people in their labour reality. Three women working directly with the institution's users have participated in the study. Through the analysis, it was noticed that the three women position themselves as carers. However, this helping relationship adopted by all invariably ends up proving to be a non-place or a place of discomfort, since it generates them great aggression and frustration, thus constituting a threat to their identity. Another transversal aspect related to the three participants has to do with the equalisation movement. All women put everything and everyone on the same level. They place themselves at the user level, depreciating themselves and criticising their hierarchical superiors withdrawing their value. By overruling the frontiers and by removing the boundaries between themselves and others, they lose their place. However, this appears to be the way that these women found to engage with users, within this professional context.
