A arte é um elemento circundante das novas vidas sobre a qual nem sempre somos conscientes da sua importância. A arte está presente nas nossas vidas, mas para a compreendermos, temos de ser educados. Para tal, a Educação Artística visa culminar estas duas valências, arte e educação. É essencial compreender, analisar e definir o conceito de Educação Artística, tal como a sua perspectiva histórica, de forma a compreender o papel da Educação Visual em Portugal. Esta investigação visa compreender a importância da Educação Artística no desenvolvimento dos alunos a vários níveis. Procurámos, assim, através da caracterização do seu processo, e em contexto de actividade lectiva, demonstrar de que modo e em que dimensões do desenvolvimento do aluno, as disciplinas artísticas contribuem para um abrangente desenvolvimento do ser humano, procurando investigar e comprovar o valor e os benefícios da Educação Visual nesse desenvolvimento, a vários níveis. Também o Professor, enquanto agente educativo, tem um papel importante e ativo na relação de ensinoaprendizagem, dispondo de várias valências enquanto Educador, pelo que deverá ter o seu papel bem definido de forma a intervir no benefício das Artes Visuais pelos alunos. O estudo que aqui se apresenta pretende validar um Modelo de Intervenção Pedagógica, baseado no testemunho de diversos autores, na disciplina de Educação Visual, como forma de implementar diversas estratégias pedagógicas que permitam beneficiar o desenvolvimento através das Artes Visuais.
Art is an element surrounding the new life upon which we are not always aware of their importance. The art is present in our lives, but to understand, we have to be educated. To this end, the Arts Education aims culminate these two valences, art and education. It is essential to understand, analyze and define the concept of arts education, such as its historical perspective in order to understand the role of Visual Education in Portugal. This research aims to understand the importance of arts education on student development at various levels. We aim, through the characterization of their case, and in the context of teaching activity, demonstrate how and to what dimensions of student development, the artistic disciplines contribute to a comprehensive development of human beings, seeking to investigate and prove the value and the benefits of Visual Education in development at various levels. Also the Professor, while educational agent, has an active and important role in relation teaching-learning, while providing multiple valences as an Educator, and should have its role well-defined in order to intervene in favor of Visual Arts beneficts to students. The study presented here aims to validate an Educational Intervention Model, based on the testimony of several authors, in the discipline of Visual Education, in order to implement various teaching strategies for benefiting development through the Visual Arts.
