ABSTRACT: For a long time, studies devoted to the reign of Thutmose III favored the facet of the warrior pharaoh, focusing mainly on the analysis and description of the battles fought in Levantine context. However, Thutmose III was also a brilliant politician and administrator who had conquered space and over that the historiographical productions are in short supply. The study of the reign of Thutmose III and his administrative policy related to Syria- Palestine is of vital importance, not only because by then the Egyptians did not mastered effectively the Levantine territory, as is also the starting point for the design of new control strategies, different from those that had been applied to Nubia, from the Middle Kingdom. Thus, the objective of this work is to develop practical procedures of the Egyptians on the ground, attempting to bridge a strand underexplored in Egyptology, seeking for new approaches, following a number of international studies in recent decades, such as the valuable contributions of Graciela Gestoso Singer, Ellen Morris and Mario Liverani, among others. In short, we will seek to understand, first, what kind of vision the Egyptians had about their contemporaries, and under what circumstances and with what ambitions they moved to Syria-Palestine in the fifteenth century B. C. (18th dynasty). Then, we will try to understand the governing mesh created and applied in this region during the reign of Thutmose III, giving a glimpse in the background, as it was made the management of this area and how it was linked with the interests of Egyptians. The intention is to open up new perspectives on this historical period and, if possible, to contribute in some way to the development of this area of study.
