Os aeroportos de Cabo Verde são todos deficitários, conseguindo a sua sustentabilidade dos proveitos provenientes da FIR – Oceânica do Sal que juntamente com as restantes taxas aeronáuticas representam mais de 90% dos ganhos da ASA. O presente trabalho procura perceber os modelos de negócios na gestão actual e passada da ASA e apresentar directrizes para implementação por parte da autoridade aeroportuária de novos modelos de negócios para que no futuro a ASA seja menos dependente das receitas da FIR. Serão analisados os impactes socioeconómicos dos aeroportos, fundamentais para a percepção do real valor destes, que num país arquipelágico como Cabo Verde, se revelam ainda mais preponderantes. A relação Aeroportos e Turismo é aqui explorada e neste ponto, convém, à administração aeroportuária uma gestão flexível, para o rápido aproveitamento das oportunidades de negócios, privilegiando o incremento de tráfego e o incremento das receitas não-Aeronáuticas, factores essenciais para o sucesso de qualquer aeroporto moderno a nível mundial.
All the airports of Cape Verde are deficient, achieving its sustainability of gains from the Sal Oceanic FIR which together with other aviation fees represent more than 90% of ASA earnings. This work tries to understand the business models in the ASA current and past management and present guidelines for implementation, by the airport authority, of new business models so that in the future ASA can be less dependent of the FIR revenues. It will be analyzed the economic impact of the airports, important to the perception of the real value of the airports, which in an archipelagic country as Cape Verde reveals even more prevalent. The relation between airports and tourism is here explored and in this point, it suits, that the airport authority adopts a flexible management, for the fast exploitation of business opportunities, particularly the increase of air traffic and the increase of non-aviation revenue, key factors for success of modern airports all over the world.
