O aumento dos casos de insucesso na implementação de sistemas ERP indica a complexidade e o elevado risco associado a estes sistemas. Para uma organização o sistema ERP não se trata de mais um grande investimento TI, mas de um investimento com um impacto a nível estrutural e comportamental. Diversos autores têm vindo a sugerir técnicas e métodos de avaliação de sistemas ERP. Estes instrumentos de avaliação pretendem analisar os impactos positivos e negativos inerentes na implementação dos ERP. Este projecto tem como objectivo realizar uma avaliação ex-ante de sistemas ERP numa PME. A avaliação seguiu um modelo síntese derivado da literatura e a abordagem de análise seguiu técnicas e métodos mais qualitativos. Na avaliação do investimento foi possível analisar a eficácia da implementação dos sistemas ERP na empresa, perceber se a empresa está pronta a receber um ERP e identificar os benefícios, custos e riscos inerentes aos sistemas ERP.

The increase of failure cases in ERP systems implementation indicates the systems complexity and the high risk associated. For an organization the ERP system is not about another huge IT investment, but is an investment with a structural and behavioral impact. Several authors have been suggested techniques and methods of ERP evaluation. These evaluation tools pretend to analyze the positive and negative impacts inherent in ERP implementation. The purpose of this project is to make an ex?ante evaluation of ERP software in a SME. The evaluation followed a conceptual model, synthesis of literature and the analysis approach followed a more qualitative techniques and methods. In the investment evaluation was possible to analyze the effectiveness of deploying an ERP system in the company, to realize the readiness of the company for accepting an ERP and to identify the benefits, costs and risks associated with ERP systems.
