The present study aims to analyze if exist some correlation between tax burden, particularly in respect to the income taxes (typically the IRS is the Personal Income Tax), with savings in households. This study focuses on a comparative analysis of European Countries (Portugal, Espanha, França, Reino Unido, Suécia and Hungria), with literature to support the behaviors of agents. The results point to the impossibility of asserting the existence of an explicit relationship between income tax with savings, also due the demonstration that one must analyze each case in particular rather than extrapolate to the general.
