Description
This final master's work intends to evaluate the effect of some antecedents (destination image, place attachment, positive memory, pleasant arousal) on the intentions to revisit and to recommend Portugal by tourists. To test this model, a questionnaire directed to tourists that were in Portugal was developed and it was conducted face to face. In total, 136 answers were obtained. The results show that the cognitive image and the affective image have a positive effect on overall destination image, and the cognitive image influences positively affective image. Moreover, the overall image has a positive effect on intention to recommend. Place attachment has a positive effect only on the intentions do return and positive memory has a positive effect on both intentions to return and to recommend. The variable pleasant arousal has no significant effect on both intentions to return and to recommend.
